BioDive combines mobile virtual reality (needs a phone) and online digital journaling (works on chromebooks) to enable students to experience the life of a scientist. Middle school students take on the role of marine biologists investigating the delicate ecosystems of venomous marine snails. Throughout their expedition, students observe, discover, and hypothesize about abiotic and biotic factors that impact marine biodiversity. BioDive is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards and takes place over a suggested 5 class periods although schools do return to it, particularly the VR aspects.
We will offer remote teacher training and the free option for Killer Snails to upload all student information to setup the virtual classrooms or to integrate using Google Classroom.
